Reflector

The human mind continuously forms internal virtual constructions as it interprets the signals transmitted by our senses. Perception of external reality is the sum of these constructions.

Pareidolia (perceiving images in visual noise) presents a mirror of the ongoing constructions as they are assembled by the human mind. The imagery may reflect thoughts and emotions; conscious or unconscious, or may simply be a way of watching mechanisms of the brain at work.

It is possible that consciousness itself may be a form of Pareidolia. The feeling of “I am here in this body” may be part of this ongoing stream of assemblages.
