E-merging Realities: This IQP will be concerned with the mixing and merging of real and virtual spaces to produce a hybrid environment where physical and virtual objects can co-exist and interact. We will investigate the simultaneous existence of real and virtualized identities. The challenge will be to take the Second Life (http://secondlife.com) platform and extend this space into the real world beyond the presently existing computer screen interface. The concept will be to create an interface or installation that will challenge our preconceived notions of what constitutes our perception of reality.
