We live by belief systems, tribal consciousness, and identifying icons of religion, nationality, alliances, loyalties, and connections. Iconograface invites viewers to try on alternative viewpoints and watch themselves in a mirror displaying a fluidity of alliances.

Icons depicting group identification can carry a particularly high emotional charge, even to the point of life-or-death seriousness. Iconograface constructs an interactive narrative by commandeering the viewer’s face as a display screen and integrating it with iconographic animations. This reflection and playfulness-of-self can serve as a way of rehumanizing those with different views.
