Dimensions Variable
Mapped projection on a 3D printed form.

Dimensions Variable is a mapped video projection on a 3D printed form that billows, swells, and undulates in space, suggesting that our reality may only be only be perceived by us as a 3-dimensionsal projection on a multi-dimensional universe.

As our perception of reality is ultimately limited to nerve data streams that brains must organize into models of what is there, these current models reside in three spatial dimensions, but physicists theorize that there are many other spatial dimensions that we are unable to directly perceive. Space may be shifting, undulating, and changing shape constantly, but imperceptibly to us. Dimensions Variable illustrates a bubbling uneven space with a constructed model of reality projected upon it.
