Detritus
Paper or plastic, packaging is manufactured to be used for only moments before being discarded. The items that the packaging contains are created to wear out quickly, become technologically obsolete, look unsightly before next season, or break over time. Every manufactured item may be defined by its minutes of use. Even this artwork, alive for two-minute intervals, is subject to the same fate. Over time, the screens will inevitably stop working one-by-one. Interest will be lost, and with it, usefulness, and the artwork itself will become its subject matter.
