Crops is a reflection on the current state of human relationship with meat. Factory farms raise animals as if they were a kind of vegetable crop. Industries are competing on producing vegetable matter that tastes identical to meat. Laboratories are experimenting with producing real meat that is grown without animals. There is controversy as to which animals should be eaten and which should be treated like family members. The top of the food chain is a complicated space.
